Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Our client, a young Iraqi asylum seeker in Home Office accommodation, has multiple needs including access to a solicitor for his asylum case, obtaining an ID card and enrolling for English lessons. His phone was stolen from a changing room so information and contacts provided by our charity are lost and we are trying to assist him. For people in our client's situation, a phone and internet access are crucial for Home Office and legal and welfare correspondence, so a priority to get him back on track.

Total needed £100Our client is a new refugee whose benefits are being processed. He needs your kind support to buy food because he has no friends or family who can support him, he has no financial income and is still unemployed. Our client will be happy if this support can be given to him as this will give him a chance to make some home-made meals, pending the time he receives his benefits from the government.

Total needed £50Our client, who is living with her disabled mother and her two children, is her mother's main carer. Our Client's cooker has just stopped working and only one of the hobs works. The cooker is very old and has now been deemed beyond repair. Mum is struggling with the cost of living expenses. Without a cooker, she has no way of cooking healthy meals for herself, her children and her mother, so would very much appreciate any support you can give to purchase a replacement. Thank you.

Total needed £200This couple, who are both working as carers on minimum wages, have four children so have to plan shifts to cover both work and childcare. This means that there are times when one of them can't take work so they struggle financially. Their freezer had broken down and they have lost all the food in it. This was a second-hand freezer and it is now beyond repair. They like to batch cook and freeze, as this saves money and time, so would really benefit from help to get a replacement freezer.

Total needed £150H, a divorced mother, and her two young sons have recently moved into a new home after being in temporary accommodation for a few months. The youngest son, who is seven years of age, has recently been very unwell and H has had to take time away from work to care for him. The home they have just moved into requires most of the basics in the kitchen that we take for granted, such as a kettle, toaster, bin, utensils and cutlery. If you can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

Total needed £150J has come from supported living where he resided for eleven months. Previous to this, he lived in his car as he was suffering serious mental health issues. J is now trying to get his life back on track and has a new property but it has no flooring down. His only income is Universal Credit and he has no savings. Flooring in the property would greatly improve his mental health; currently his home his cold, damp and miserable. Carpets have kindly been supplied, but any help with fitting costs would be a huge help to J.

Total needed £75We have a lady in our church who doesn't have a lot of money, is unable to work and receives minimum benefits.
