Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

J, a care leaver who has just moved into his first home, has had to set up from scratch with very little. He has received support for household items and white goods, but has no carpets down anywhere in his flat. A charity are able to provide free flooring coverings if the kind people of Acts 435 can help with the fitting costs. Thank you.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200P, who moved into our accommodation after a long stay in prison, has now been out of prison for three years, has become a Christian, is working part-time and has moved into his own accommodation. He has been working hard to get the items he needs to furnish his new home, but is in need of flooring. P would very much appreciate some money towards carpeting his living room, especially as he is now in contact with his daughters and would like them to visit his new home.

Total needed £200R, a single mum of two children, has fled an abusive relationship. She has multiple disabilities, alongside post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression. After a period in a women's refuge, R has now been supported into a new home. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings as she has spent what she had on furnishings and white goods for her house. Floor coverings would turn R's house into a home, help her mental health and give her the fresh start she is desperate for.

Total needed £175T has recently moved, after a two year house search, due to her landlord not completing any essential repairs. She has ended up having to leave that home, due to its unsuitability and concerns over the essential repairs needing doing. T is unable to work, due to a terminal neurological condition, and is struggling to furnish her new property. Please can you help her to buy a small carpet for her lounge and kitchen flooring?

Total needed £200This older lady has been forced to move out of her long-term rented accommodation, due to low income, lack of affordability and some debt issues in which she has not been treated fairly. She has now been in social housing for a number of months, which is not of a great standard and has no flooring throughout. In partnership with the local Christians Against Poverty debt centre, this funding will contribute to laying carpet in her lounge, at least increasing the comfort of this room for her. Thank you for your consideration.
