Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

This singe mother has two teenagers, one of whom is dependent on 24/7 care after suffering from a severe brain injury with multiple seizures per day. Mum was sexually exploited resulting in severe mental and physical challenges. The family have refugee status in temporary accommodation (while awaiting permanent housing) with a small, hotel sized fridge freezer. Mum cooks fresh and is forced to visit the supermarket two or three times per day, taking her daughter as she can't be left alone. Mum also travels ten miles a day by bus to where her daughter attends school.

Total needed £200V was homeless and, after a time in supported accommodation, recently gained his own council tenancy. In order to keep busy and help his mental health, he has given his time each week to help a local charity complete maintenance work for at least ten hours a week. V uses his van to allow him to do this, and also to give him freedom to get out of the house and connect with the local community. In order to continue giving something back to society, V needs £200 towards a larger bill for his van repair.

Total needed £200This girl visited our centre with her family. They are currently homeless, as they are fleeing danger and violence in their country. While the council provided housing for the parents and younger siblings, the two older girls were deemed non-vulnerable and received no assistance. We cannot bear to see these girls end up on the streets, especially considering their limited English and the trauma endured. We urgently need your assistance to house this girl in a bed and breakfast for four nights.

Total needed £200This family regrettably missed an appointment with the Home Office, leading to the withdrawal of their asylum claim. Although the council offered housing for the parents and two younger siblings, the two older girls were considered non-vulnerable and did not receive assistance. It's distressing to envision these girls facing the prospect of homelessness. We urgently seek your help in providing housing for this young girl for four nights while the necessary steps are taken.

Total needed £200G, who has been working with Crosslight and is in a better place, has achieved a lot in this time. She used to get daily parking tickets because she could not afford a permit to park outside of her house. However, with determination, we've got this all sorted. Unfortunately, G's permit is coming to an end on Monday and she will be in the same position. She has applied for a new one, but she cannot afford it. A three month permit is £78.50. Please can you help to donate towards this?

Total needed £80This lady is a Christians Against Poverty client who ran up large debts following the death of her mother in Nigeria. Her driveway needs repairs, as it is dangerous to pedestrians. This lady cannot currently afford to make these essential repairs, which is causing extra distress, in addition to dealing with grief and the stress of other debts.

Total needed £180This young care leaver, who has two pre-school children, has been given the chance to swap houses so that she can move close to her friends and support networks in the town where she grew up. She has been very isolated, as she doesn't have a car, in a rural town where she knows nobody. This move will bring so many benefits and she will find childcare and work opportunities easier. This young lady has worked hard to become debt free and this money is to cover moving costs so she doesn't take a loan and maybe face debt again.

Total needed £200This gypsy lady has been struggling to find work in a world where everything is online. She has been looking for work for over a year now with no success. She has started jewellery classes and a gardening business, selling her work at markets but, until these take off, she has been trying to feed herself and her pets on the money from her Universal Credit. This lady has a full septic tank so, added to her financial burden, she is unable to flush the toilet or put anything down the drain. Can you help to get this tank emptied, please?

Total needed £200This single mother of four children has fallen on tough times recently. Sadly evicted from her private rented property, she has had to live in emergency accommodation for about six months and has finally been offered a place of her own. However, mum does not have the funds needed to move her belongings to the new house. This money, if raised, will pay for the local, immensely supportive man with a van to carry out this removal for her at a discounted rate. Many thanks for your consideration.
