Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

C is a single mum of two children who is on Universal Credit and cannot work because she home schools her daughter, who is on disability allowance. C's washing machine recently broke and she can't afford to replace it so she is currently having to take her and her children's laundry to her sister's to wash, a thirty minute journey away. Please can you help C get a new washing machine?

Total needed £200This client is a single parent with three young children. Their property has issues with damp and mould, primarily in the storage areas. Mum is waiting for the council to deal with the issue, but fears the mould spores will cause her children's clothes to become mouldy and negatively effect their health. We have provided them with advice and two hydrometers to keep an eye on humidity levels. However, a dehumidifier will help keep the area free of mould so mum can store things safely.

Total needed £200L and her son were recently moved into temporary accommodation with no white goods. Extra expenses for her son's care have made it impossible to buy the essentials they need. Mum would value your help to buy a freezer so that she can decrease her cooking expenses by batch cooking.

Total needed £150I had a lovely chat with this client who was placed in temporary accommodation in early 2022. Her case was overlooked and she was deemed as not a housing need, eventually becoming homeless. In 2024, our client was picked up by Streetlink and placed in St Mungo's for a week. She was then moved to a winter shelter which was not suitable for her medical needs. This lady has finally found suitable housing, but is in need of furniture. She said a double mattress would be really great. Thank you for your support.
