This gentleman is homeless and all his benefit income is used for food, toiletries, transport to appointments and items necessary for his tent. He has had the same set of clothes for the last seven months, which are worn and have a very strong odour. This gentleman is worried about how he presents when he has to meet people. He is self-conscious and depressed, and has low self-esteem. New clothing would absolutely boost his confidence and allow him to feel a lot better in himself. Please can you help?
J and her husband have recently moved to the UK from India and J is pregnant with twins. Although both are working, they are on low wages and J is now on maternity leave, but is not entitled to benefits. They are living in one room in a multi-occupancy house, but are shortly due to move to a private flat. J and her husband have no savings, as all of their money is spent on bills and the house move. The church has helped with many baby items, but they desperately need a double buggy to enable the babies to go out.
